While Christmas for many of us this year will not be the same, if you are planning on staying in Preston for the festive period, there are still a range of activities and social events you can join in with. Although most of these will be remote. The Students Union is hosting various activities, including:
- A craft along activity with plastic free crackers- 21st December– Sign up for your free ticket, and then you can collect a pack of all the resources you need to make your own, plastic free crackers. What could be more festive? The instructional video is available on the UCLan SU social media platforms, and you can craft along at any time that suits you. Book quickly though as there are only 50 packs available.
- Virtual escape room part one of two- 23rd December– Choose a free group ticket and you and your friends will be rocketed into this virtual escape room. Blasted into space, you will have a mystery to solve, together. You can also choose a free individual ticket, and you will be added to a group, virtually, on the day. You can also join part 2 of this mystery on the 26th December.
- Traditional Christmas lunch- 24th December- the UCLan Students Union have also organised and are hosting a traditional Christmas dinner in Harrington Social Space from 12-3pm on Christmas Eve (24th December). This is completely free, but you will need to book a ticket.
- Boxing day walk- 26th December- This is a socially distanced walk, perfect for burning off the extra Christmas calories, from the Union Building to Miller and Avenham Park.
