So what are the most common resolutions for students? Well, these resolutions mainly focus on academic work, or personal life. And some of the most popular academic resolutions include:

  • meeting deadlines
  • more effective time management
  • being more organised
  • reading around subjects more frequently

But aren’t New Year resolutions pointless, and broken in January? Well, that depends on how much you want to change. If you set a resolution, that you are determined to see through, you could find that in 2021:

  • you achieve better grades- more time spent studying or less time drinking with friends can both be influential for your final grades
  • you feel more positive
  • you have better opportunities for the future
  • your time management has improved- a useful life skill for your first graduate job
  • you become healthier
