Although all of the student homes available at Let Pads have full Wifi and a contemporary, comfortable, and relaxing decor, we know that every student is different. And for some students, it can be a challenge to complete important essays while sitting at home. Especially when surrounded by other distractions. So as a result, we have produced this guide to study places in Preston. Not only will you complete your work in time, but you’ll also get to know the city too.

The library

Hermione Granger wasn’t top of her class for nothing. She knew the best place to be was the library. At UCLAN library you can book out a study pod, so you can work on your own, in silence. But if that’s not the most productive way for you to work, the main body of the library is a great option too. Full of friendly faces and with loads of resources, you’ll have everything you need.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to bump into your classmates, why not head to the Harris Library. You can find it on the ground floor of the Harris Museum and Art Gallery. With computers, WiFi and work spaces, you can really get to work on that essay. And when you need to take a break, simply step outside into the cafe for refreshments. Don’t forget to have a look around the rest of the building. From fine art to history, it really is a great place to be inspired.

Visit a coffee shop

If the hush of the library isn’t the environment for you, why not try one of the many coffee shops dotted around the city centre? From the big brand names like Costa and Starbucks, to independent retailers with something special to offer, you’re sure to find a space for you. With free WiFi and all the coffee you can buy, what else do you need to finish off those assignments?
Here at Let Pads, our properties are located close to the city centre, and to UCLAN, so you can easily find your way home again after a long day studying!
