Things to prepare for at University
So, what is life as student really like? And what should be prepared for? Well, there are a number of things, including:
- Working hard- the obvious! You might get a part time job alongside your studies, or you might focus on university life. But either way, you’ll be working hard.
- Making friends- this is pretty much a given in regard to university life. Whether you’re bold or confident, or shy and introverted, you’re sure to find your crowd.
- All nighters- whether you stay up all night partying right through to your 9am lecture, or you’ve left your assignment to last minute, all nighters are a common part of university life.
- Pranks- chances are when you move into halls, or private residence, there’ll be at least one joker among you. If you want to keep your room safe, don’t forget to lock the door!
- Freshers flue- when people from across the country, and the world, get together, their germs mingle and combine into what is known as Freshers flue. You’ll probably still catch it in third year too.
- Independence- When you start university, you’ll quickly learn to adapt to your independence. You’ll need to learn to be self motivated, and self reliant too.
But most of all, you should prepare to have fun. Here at Let Pads, we provide high quality student accommodation across Preston. Get in touch today to find out more.
